About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Support team in Bodmin and Newquay as a Relief Support Worker.
You will be lone working with people who have complex needs including substance misuse, mental ill-heath, fleeing domestic abuse and any other challenging issues. Providing a holistic service assisting with health and wellbeing, housing, maintaining tenancies, sign-posting and emotional support. You will need to take a creative approach to support, adapting your style of communication with each individual to provide a person centred approach and help customers establish and work towards their goals and aspirations.
You will need to be able to effectively risk assess and have a good understanding of safeguarding.
This role is being offered on a relief basis, working flexibly to include weekdays and weekends as and when cover is required.

About The Candidate
To be considered for the role of Relief Support Worker, you will:
Have experience of risk assessing and risk management
Ideally have experience of night and lone working
Be a great communicator with the ability to build a rapport
Confident in lone working and be a good team player
Have a flexible approach to work
Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Be resilient and adaptable
Be able to demonstrate the skills required to support individuals
Be able to demonstrate an understanding of adult vulnerabilities in a supported housing environment
Have the ability to adopt a methodical, organised approach to work
