Make your mark, from bid to close

Join ISG as a Planner, and you'll be immersed in every stage of a project's lifecycle from bid through to close. Essentially, you'll be able to see each project through from start to finish. You'll be a key voice in the team with plenty of scope to influence what we do and how we do it - not least because with us, you'll have the scope to work on projects of different sizes and in sectors across construction, fit out and engineering. Your level of experience is important but if you're relatively new to the field, we can help you develop into more senior roles. What will you be doing?

We're looking for a Planner or Senior Planner to provide professional planning services for proposals and project delivery. That's going to involve:
  • Providing planning services as an integral part of the project team
  • Liaising with clients and external planning consultants, leading programme meetings and reacting quickly to any client-led changes
  • Setting up end-to-end programmes, from appointment to commissioning and close out - always making sure there are auditable trails
  • Feeding back any lessons learnt and innovation ideas into the department as well as providing progress reports to the relevant stakeholders
  • Identifying and managing project risks, and solving any issues or problems
  • Establishing key milestones
  • Building strong internal and external relationships and training non-planners in planning principles, techniques and software

What do you need to bring?
  • Experience of developing planning and proposals process across a range of sectors, from retail and leisure through to corporate environments
  • A solid understanding of the full project lifecycle, including architectural construction detail, planning and rescheduling techniques, M&E infrastructure and procurement
  • A good knowledge of relevant software and programmes such as MS Project, Primavera P6 and Asta
  • The ability to prepare and deliver programming and planning in line with all relevant guidelines and protocols
  • Plenty of passion and drive - you'll be committed to delivering excellence and to driving continuous improvement
  • A strategic approach - you'll always look at the bigger picture and you'll make decisions with confidence
  • Excellent team working and communication skills - you'll have a calm approach and the ability to get the best out of others
