The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Policy Manager to join our Policy, Evidence and Influencing team to drive forward critical areas of our work and deliver change for people affected by breast cancer. These include early diagnosis, some aspects of treatment and medical research.

You will build strong relationships with external stakeholders that will enable you to influence effectively. You will work with colleagues across the team and organisation to take our priorities to supporters, their elected representatives and the media. Leading on specific policy areas, you will manage two Senior Policy Officers and contribute to the management of the wider Policy, Evidence and Influencing team, including planning and budgeting.

This role is offered on a 12 months fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

About you

With your considerable experience of working in relevant policy roles to deliver significant change, you will have solid experience of managing projects and people, be an excellent communicator, a strategic thinker and able to work independently. You will also have an excellent understanding of the policy landscape that Breast Cancer Now works in.
