What does a great Hotel Account Manager do? You will be joining a team that is responsible for managing our relationship with customers, building new connections, and maximizing profit. The role will serve as the primary day to day commercial contact for the hotel partners and will involve proactive management of account relationships to drive the commercial success of these partnerships, ensuring Travelport has Best in Class Content.
Responsibilities: - Articulate the value proposition of Travelport to hotel partners to secure content, competitive yield, and maximum revenue
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships with Travelport's hotel partners
- Serve as the Partner's primary day to day commercial contact and demonstrate ability to communicate at multiple levels within supplier organizations
- Optimize revenue growth through consultative sales approach with new and existing products
- Develop, monitor, and communicate account development plans and key performance metrics
- Organize and coordinate ongoing calls, quarterly customer business reviews and analysis of performance against pre-determined account plans to optimize programs, along with supporting materials
- Understand customer's business and technology and be able to utilize customer perspective to frame the opportunity, and advocate for, greater penetration of Travelport's functionality and programs
- Effectively share best practice across hotel team and lead team wide strategic imperatives
- Be committed to cultivating cross-functional communications through the creation and maintenance of strategic relationships across Travel Partners and Travelport more broadly
- Work closely with legal, finance, product, QA, and global and regional hotel teams to support overall objectives
- Effectively represent Travelport at conferences, fairs, and other meetings to promote Travelport's suite of products
- Ensure that all service issues are directed appropriately, and all stakeholders kept abreast of status
What we look for/who would prosper in this role? -
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the travel/hospitality industry, ideally in a multinational commercial role (sales/account management/revenue), including experience in negotiation, sales/business development of key strategic accounts. GDS experience preferred.
- Must have a broad understanding of the hotel industry and may include, but not limited to, industry practices, means of distribution, negotiated rates process, commission issues and challenges related to GDS bookings
- An initiative-taker that is highly motivated and a strong negotiator
- Highly effective and impactful presentation/public speaking skills. Proven ability to create successful supporting presentation material to the highest level
