Look no further than this Grant Specialist role with WWF UK. This is an exciting position created to provide quality assurance for specific Programmes.
As a Grant Specialist you will deliver against strategic goals by taking responsibility for the oversight of a grants portfolio, often in partnership with Network offices. This will involve working closely with implementing teams to ensure effective planning, budgeting and management of funded programmes and that programmes have a rights-based approach, prioritising the needs of indigenous and local communities. You will be required to provide internal reporting and ensure that external reports are of high quality and delivered in a timely manner. As required, you will collaborate with colleagues in support of fundraising proposals and the creation of engaging communications.
You must have a strong passion for conservation and/or development and be used to using your project cycle management skills as part of a team or partnership - and sometimes engaging remotely with international teams - to support the delivery of programmes both internationally and in the UK. You will be someone who loves the detail of project planning, delivery, monitoring and budgeting. You will also have experience of collaborating effectively on the development of funding proposals and donor reports as well as of conveying key programme messages to a range of different audiences.
You are extremely organised and have proven ability to prioritise across projects and meet deadlines. Naturally, you will possess an understanding of key, relevant international conservation and development issues.
