Job description
The Regional Manager, London is responsible for the management and delivery of all Mosac face to face services to individuals and families whose children have been sexually abused across London and the SE (who are within a reasonable travelling distance of Mosac offices in Brockley).
The Regional Manager, London will work with the Head of Services and the individual service managers to develop Mosac s clinical services to support an increasing number of clients from within a reasonable travelling distance of Mosac s London office to attend our face-to-face services.
The Regional Manager, London will be responsible for delivering our face-to-face counselling service for parents/carers whose children have been sexually abused. Alongside the delivery of this services, the Regional Manager, London, will be responsible for the line management of all clinical staff delivering face-to-face services in our London office.
Your knowledge, skills and experience will be rooted in the delivery of therapeutic services supporting those who have been through significant trauma. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to recruit, manage and support other team members.
Mosac Background
Mosac has been delivering unique support services for the families of victims of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) for nearly 30 years. In a safe environment, we offer free services to families affected by CSA, all of whom are vulnerable with some being excluded, or facing other forms of hardship. Mosac s services include a national Helpline, In-person and Online Counselling, Play Therapy, Advocacy & Advice and Parent Facilitation Support services. We enable families to achieve and sustain an improved quality of life by rebuilding confidence, alleviating isolation, improving well-being and resilience, promoting inclusion and empowering individuals to move on with their lives, with the skills and knowledge to safeguard themselves and their children in the future.
We are at a critical point in our development as we reach our 30th anniversary. We will be transitioning from an organisation with national reach through our helpline to a national organisation with online services that are able to deliver all of our services to clients across the UK and regional face-to-face work in multiple locations in England and Wales. Alongside our geographical expansion, we will be expanding the range of services to provide more holistic support to families who have affected by CSA, this currently includes plans to develop parent and child relational play service, family therapy, counselling for young people and a program of work to support professional in statutory and voluntary sector services to better understand CSA and to work more closely with non-abusing parents to provide support to the victims of CSA.
Key Responsibilities
Mosac s regional managers will be responsible for the clinical services in their locality/region
Key Responsibilities:
Supported by the Head of Services design the clinical services for the London office in response to the needs of our clients
Delivery of face-to-face counselling, including supporting the volunteer counsellors, assessing clients, managing the timetable of delivery, liaising with other local and statutory agencies where needed.
Line management of the local managers of clinical services including responsiblity for supporting their wellbeing and professional development of their teams.
Together with the volunteer managers, be responsible for recruiting and retaining volunteers for the face-to-face services in the London office
Arrange and manage appropriate supervision for the volunteers and staff for the London face to face services
Lead on the evaluation of the face-to-face clinical services in the London office
Build relationships with organisations and other key stakeholders in your locality
Be the safeguarding lead for the services under your remit
Oversee the implementation of all our policies and procedures in your locality
Line management of the reception staff for the London office
Person Specification:
At least three years experience of running a counselling service
Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience and accredited with a relevant counselling body such as BACP or UKCP
Supervision Qualification with experience of supervising in a broad range settings including individuals, groups, trainees, trauma related work
Experience of line managing other managers
Experience of supporting the professional development and wellbeing of staff
Experience of representing the organisation at local/national events
Experience of being the safeguarding lead for a service
Experience of working collaboratively with relevant services, for example police and social services
High level communication skills, including experience of communicating effectively across cultures and with diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing
Ability to write appropriate service reports
Excellent IT skills - with a good knowledge of online tools including zoom, google drive etc
