M365 Tester - Local Authority (North West / Merseyside) A large public-sector organisation in the North West is seeking an experienced M365 Tester to support the delivery and assurance of Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 services as part of a wider digital transformation programme. This role sits within an established ICT and Change function and will work closely with the Lead M365 Tester, developers, architects and end users to ensure the quality, reliability and performance of M365 applications across the organisation. Assignment Details Contract Length: 11 months (ongoing assignment) Pay Rate: 25.38 per hour (Umbrella) Hours: 35 hours per week Working Pattern: Initial training delivered face-to-face Thereafter remote working, with office attendance subject to business needs and notice Location: Merseyside (city-centre office) Closing Date: 27 February 2026 Interviews: Face-to-face The Role As the M365 Tester , you will be responsible for delivering a robust testing function across Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 platforms, ensuring solutions meet business, technical and quality standards. Key responsibilities include: Designing, developing and executing test plans, scripts and test cases aligned to business requirements Conducting functional, regression and performance testing Identifying, documenting and tracking defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues Supporting the testing of integrations across M365, D365 and existing systems Using tools such as Azure DevOps to support collaborative testing and defect management Producing and maintaining comprehensive test documentation Keeping up to date with emerging M365 features, updates and best practice Essential Experience & Skills Local authority, council or housing association experience - essential Proven experience testing Microsoft 365 applications , including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Dynamics and Copilot Understanding of M365 technical architecture, integration and configuration Experience working in complex public-sector ICT environments Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders Methodical, analytical approach with strong attention to detail Desirable Experience with test automation tools Knowledge of security and endpoint management within M365 Experience working within transformation or change programmes Apply now for a confidential discussion and further details about this opportunity.
