Tenancy Sustainment Officer
Epsom
Salary - £33,126 per annum plus £1,200 car allowance

One of our key housing clients in Surrey is actively looking to hire permanent staff as soon as possible. Our client is driven by social objectives to make a positive impact on the places they work in, for the long-term. This is a perm role for 35 hours per week with a mixture of hybrid working Monday - Friday.
As a Tenancy Sustainment Officer, you will play a pivotal role in providing high quality property related services to our residents. This role is responsible for delivering high quality, responsive maintenance management focus to the department.
Your day to day role, among other things, will involve:
*You will encourage our customers' independence and support them to maximise their income and minimise their outgoings.
*Keeping up to date with developments in welfare reform and other government policies which will have an impact on the organization's income.
*Providing practical advice, information, and support on a wide range of topics including personal finance, employment, and computer skills, leading to greater personal independence.
*Preparing reports and updating policies on the impact of Universal Credit, the Benefits Cap, Bedroom Tax, and key welfare reforms which may pose a risk to the organisation's financial viability.
We are ideally looking for individuals who can demonstrate much of the following:
*A proven track record in achieving positive outcomes, you will identify and assist customers to sustain their tenancies and make improvements to their circumstances.
*Typical activities will include providing welfare benefits advice to our customers while working closely with internal and external partners to support our tenants.
*Have robust conversations with current tenants regarding their rent account, you will also help to collect former tenant arrears and recharges.
*High level of skill in a range of outstanding customer service skills, along with excellent networking and communication abilities.
*You must also have a strong commitment to involving, supporting, and meeting the needs of our customers.
