RF electronics design engineer

Role: RF Electronics Engineer

Location: Glasgow

Home working: 2 days per week

A client based in Glasgow are looking to hire an RF electronics design engineer to develop PCB and control units for an acoustic product.

The Ideal Engineer:

The ideal engineer will have a background (minimum BSc) in electronic with an understanding of RF signal, amplification, I/O, analogue/digital and low-level/low-noise analogue circuit design.

Daily Duties will include:

• Design and test of electronic printed circuit board (PCB) for manufacture and generate appropriate documentation.
• Demonstrate electronic design using discrete components for readout and control of sensors.
• Maintain documentation for production electronic systems (schematics, datasheets, 3D Models)
• Develop and iterate systems through prototype, characterisation, demonstration and production stages.
• Communicate with other team members to build and validate devices
• Experience of ISO13485 and RF design is highly desirable

Technical skills required:

• Experience with the design of industrial/commercial electronic systems.
• Experience with industrial/commercial electronic PCB design/manufacture is desirable
• Knowledge of acoustic sensors is desirable
• A background in medical device or in RF, acoustics, amplifiers is desirable

Software:

EDA (Electronic Design Automation) skills, able to generate schematics, design PCBs, simulate circuitry and create 3D Models. (Altium Designer, Eagle, or similar).
