Doing Amazing Things TogetherAffinity Trust are looking to recruit a HR Administrator on a fixed term contract until 31st August 2022, to join our central HR Operations team who support our staff at locations all over the UK.This is great opportunity to join a positive, lively team during a busy period of change whilst we implement a new HR Information system.About the RoleYou will work as part of the HR Operations team to provide effective admin support to the HR team and staff across our divisions. We are looking for an experienced administrator who will be responsible for ensuring processes are followed, populating, updating and maintaining accurate people information/data on our HR systems in a timely manner and sending out employee correspondence. You will run various checks on employees such as Right to Work and DBS/PVG checks and assist the HR Operations Manager with reporting and answering first line queries from staff on HR administrative matters.The role requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment. There is lots of communication with staff, managers and colleagues in HR, Recruitment and Payroll, on the telephone (plus video calls) and via email, so you need to enjoy speaking to people and be a confident communicator.You will be the first point of contact for employees and managers on behalf of the HR Team providing supportive, professional, accurate and comprehensive HR advice on our policies and processes.This role will be mainly based from home but you will be required to work from our Head Office in Thame on a weekly basis. Equipment will be required.Skills & ExperienceYou will need proven administrative experience, with strong knowledge of all Microsoft Packages particularly Word (Intermediate) and Excel (Intermediate including: pivot tables, v-look ups and writing/amending formulas)You will be methodical and organised with experience of working in a confidential environment or understanding the importance of confidentiality and discretion in respect of staff information and the people we support. Previous HR experience or knowledge of general employment law (e.g. employment contracts, right to work, DBS) would be an advantage, but not essential.We are a small team so you will need to have a positive 'can do' attitude and excellent organisational skills. The ideal candidate will be very proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly word and excel. Experience of using an HR Information System would also be advantageous.
