The overall purpose of the role is to deliver training as required by the Security Officers, and other colleagues, based on the Sellafield site.

Reporting to the HRM & L&D Lead this role will support with the day-to-day delivery of training and other L&D activities.

Job Description

Main Duties:

  • Design (where appropriate), delivery and evaluation of training relevant to and in line with the business requirements.
  • Provide reporting and data of training activity.
  • Ensure all security training meets regulatory and QA standards where required.
  • Ensure all training is delivered in an engaging and professional manner.
  • Ensure engagement and alignment with the Learning Hub.
  • Keep up to date with current L&D and other relevant industry practices.
  • Support the CGF L&D team and the wider Mitie L&D team to identify L&D needs and promote the learning being delivered and its impact.
  • Be an ambassador for the Mitie security's vision and values and ensure they are embedded into all training interventions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 3 teaching qualification with the ability to gain, through training, a Level 4 teaching qualification.
  • Current SIA qualifications.
  • Current First Aid /Assessor qualification.
  • H&S Level 3, or equivalent, or the ability to gain the qualification through training.
  • Previous experience in the Security industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience in delivering both face-to-face and blended learning approaches.
  • Self-motivated, confident, and credible.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and flexible.
  • Solution focussed with a good understanding of the wider business.
  • Strong attention to detail and a creative approach to delivery.
  • Excellent planning, diary management and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team / environment.
  • Strives for excellence and is passionate about own personal and professional development.

Health and Safety responsibilities

  • Always follow Group and company policies and procedures.
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.

Information Security

  • Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities.
  • Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager.
  • Report actual and suspected security incidents.
