Job OverviewThis an exciting opportunity to join a national Talent & Learning team to help Mitie achieve its goals and drive cultural change to enable business growth.The purpose of the role is to work in partnership with the HR team and internal customers to support, plan and deliver relevant training solutions. This role will also partner in the creation and implementation planning for a divisional customer service training plan. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a background in customer service as well as training, and has the ability to facilitate programmes for team leaders, line managers and specialist disciplines.Main DutiesDevelop and implement the training programme with a mix of relevant internally developed programmes augmented where necessary (the primary focus being to develop internal training capability).Develop a team, department and training plan with a capability matrix for each discipline. Manage and co-ordinate Personal Achievement and Development plan for each member of the team with appropriate training programme against the capability matrix.Deliver Train the Trainer core management skills for managers so training programmes can then be delivered to individual departments by ManagersSupport Department Managers to develop training centres of excellenceDeliver first line management related training programmesDevelop specific training programme for all business development graduates.You will need to work closely with the members of the Talent & Learning team to build rapport and develop the role and the programme ultimately to share best practice training across Support Services (for example Commercial Management training and presentation skills to Operational Leads). The key elements of the role are:To be an ambassador for the company's Values, our Vision 2020 strategy and the Leading our Values Framework.To work with the Heads of Department within Business Development to identify training requirements that support the overarching training and development needs of each discipline and role for each individual within the team.To deliver training through appropriate methods of delivery including developing internal training programmes and where appropriate external specialist training.)To review training, evaluating its impact on the business and making any changes requiredWork with senior Business Development team to identify business priorities and to implement an agreed plan, review as appropriate. Collect training data and produce reports/forecasts for the Heads of Department and Business Development Director(including central log of mandatory courses)Launch and deliver first line management training that supports our Leading our Values Framework, subject to demandLiaise with our external partners to gain accreditation for our training where appropriateManage ad hoc projects/eventsApplication of creativity when designing new materials for training deliveryWhat we are looking forEssentialA passion for delivering great customer service training and development experiencesExperience of working in Business Development/Operations is preferable and able to deliver training across a wide and diverse team with very different needs and requirementsA strong commitment to and an understanding of the role that training plays in enabling business successAble to influence to lead/support training of colleaguesAble to deliver training in a practicable yet engaging way to meet business requirementsAble to coach and develop 1st line managers to train others to the standards requiredAble to work on own initiative to implement /review an agreed planDesirableAn HR/ training qualification would be desirable but not essential
