Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for Administration Assistant within the Wirral Met College Estates Team. The post holder will provide general administration support to the Estate Manager and assist the Director of Estates with compliance, reporting and recording of estate business to maintain the fabric and appearance of the College estate to a high standard.

Specifically, the post holder will be responsible for timely placement of purchase orders, contract services, breakdown and fault reporting. In addition the post holder will be responsible for updating and accurate recording of budget spreadsheets; liaising with the Finance department where required.

The post holder will also be required to build and maintain customer/client relationships with suppliers, contractors and key agencies as well as other College department managers.

The post holder will be a highly organised and experienced administrator with a strong knowledge of IT systems such as Word, Excel and database management and MS Teams. Also a knowledge of Oracle or similar would be advantageous. The post holder must be familiar with working to deadline or to compressed delivery targets and be self-motivated and pro-active. Further training will be provided on other internal College systems.

The post will involve working 37 hours per week and will be based at our Twelve Quays Campus in Birkenhead. The successful applicant will be able to join the Local Government Pension Scheme as well as receive the College's generous holiday entitlement.
