Bar Manager

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Bar Manager to join our highly successful team here at Ham Yard Hotel. Your main responsibility will be to oversee the daily operation of the Ham Yard bar; working alongside senior management and team members, to ensure that the highest level of service is being delivered and the expectations of our guests are consistently exceeded. You will be totally responsible for overseeing the development of a progressive seasonal cocktail list that can change up to four times a year. In addition, Ham Yard has built a reputation for creating and executing exciting and forward thinking pop-up concepts on our roof terrace throughout the year - which is a key responsibility of the Ham Yard bar manager. At Ham Yard there are aspirations of becoming an industry-leading award-winning cocktail bar and we are looking for the right person to help achieve this.

Essential Key Skills

• Previous experience as a Bar Manager in a high turnover luxury venue
• Demonstrate a key passion for Food and Beverage
• Extensive knowledge of cocktails, their history and spirits
• Genuine passion for the wider industry and understanding of London and global cocktail trends
• Ability to grow and develop our existing menu and back bar offering
• Strong organisational skills and ability to deliver and complete projects in a timely manner
• A motivational and charismatic leader capable of inspiring the team and guests alike
• Previous experience managing and developing a large team, as well as developing and mentoring individuals
  Ability to work collaboratively with different departments across the hotel, but particularly within Food & Beverage and Events
• Excellent attention to deliver inspirational service to all of our guests
• Ability to manage the bar rota, balancing the needs of the business with staff requests and holidays
• Maintain a high performing team with strong retention rates
