Administrative Support Worker

Evelina London is part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and is the heart of a network of children's health services in Lambeth and Southwark and across South-East England. We provide a comprehensive range of children's health services, so that we are able to look after patients from antenatal diagnosis through childhood, into adolescence and on into adult services.

The Children's Community Nursing Service manage a range of acute/ short term/ complex needs and palliative childhood conditions. A dynamic team of highly skilled nurses facilitate early discharge of children from hospital as well as prevent hospital admissions and ED attendance. Children benefit from the expertise of the hospital through an acute pathway of care into the primary care setting, enabling children, young people and families to safely manage their health needs in the comfort and safety of their own home and educational settings. The service operates 7 days a week 08.00hr-22.00hr taking direct referrals via a single point of access from hospitals, GP's and the wider MDT.

We are looking for an enthusiastic hard working administrator to work within the Children's Community Nursing Team. Your role will be to assist in the organisation and running of the service by undertaking housekeeping and clerical duties as appropriate. This will include but not be limited to ensuring the team have supplies for their service to function, be responsible for the collection and presentation of data for audit purposes, answer the telephone calls relevant to the service and support the nursing team in the early discharge and prevention of admission of children from hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and build a comprehensive children's nursing service for the local children and young people and their families of Lambeth and Southwark.

Experience of EPR, PIMS, Carenotes and Excel would be beneficial.

We can offer you opportunities for training and development within our friendly and supportive team.
