In this position you will;
- Take full responsibility for the management and leadership of an experienced fund accounting team
- Adopt a "do as I do and not just as I say" approach, taking hands on responsibility for NAV construction, cash management, FX, treasury, margining and P&L analysis twinned with said ability to lead and manage the team
- Daily, weekly and monthly NAV construction with an understanding of equalisation and fee calculations
- Responsibility for final sign off of multi-billion dollar funds
- Enhance the funds existing relationships with Administrators, Custodians and Tax Agents
- Negotiate new contracts with multiple vendors and ensure the delivery of agreed SLA's
- Build trusted advisor relationships with c-level suite, to include COO, CEO and CFO in a highly visible role
- Lead operational projects to increases efficiencies, workflow enhancements and process improvement
- Assist with fund launches, onboarding and ensuring efficient operational frameworks for further scale
- Enhance the value of data, trade and MI reporting
- Face off to existing and new investors as part of due diligence meetings to entice new allocation and dry powder
- Manage multiple projects across fund launches and change in fund services and third party suppliers
The right candidate will have;
- Ability to demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills
- Detailed experience in Fund Accounting and NAV construction and the confidence to take accountability of final sign off
- Excellent fund knowledge particularly across Cayman Master feeder, Lux UCITS, UK OEIC's, US 40 Act
- Gravitas to build trust with fund managers, c-level staff and external counterparties
- Knowledge of the trade cycle front to back, from investment decision and execution through to settlement
- Excellent business knowledge and bigger picture understanding to include the wider areas of non-investment such as finance, compliance and risk
- Strong track record of negotiating vendor contracts and ensuring SLA's
- Aspirations to become a Head of operations and motivated by the opportunity of steep trajectory and responsibility
- The ability to inspire and motivate an experienced fund accounting team, focused on the development and fulfilment of each individual as well as their own
- The desire to challenge the status quo and "institutionalise" current operational frameworks in line with the funds plans for further growth and scale
- Excellent project management skills, particularly around fund launches, transfer agency and changes in service provider
