Electrical Estimator sought, Oxford. New regional hub, national building services contractor seeking further pre-construction support in the Oxford region. Girling Jones are delighted to once again be supporting this national MEP building services engineering business as they expand further. We require a design and build Electrical Estimator to oversee bids in the region of £500,000 upward of £5M spanning a variety of sectors to include Medical, Commercial, Industrial and Healthcare.
Day to day,
Ensure electrical tenders are prepared to a high standard utilising Estimation working alongside mechanical counterparts
Obtain competitive and accurate quotations from electrical specialists
Liaising with other members of the estimating team and contracts managers across the South of the UK
Develop working relationships with design consultants, main contractors and clients to establish communication paths
Proactively working within the team on schemes ranging from £500k upward of £10M MEP
What you'll need to succeed,
Minimum 5 years' experience of electrical building services estimating
HNC / HND or equivalent in electrical / building services engineering
Proven history of estimating commercial project values of up to 10M
Able to manage workload with brief time restraints
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Estimating Software (Estimation), Microsoft Project would be beneficial
