Rating Analyst or Research Assistant - Sustainable Finance
Grade 9 or 8 (for internal purposes)

We are currently recruiting a Rating Analyst to join our Sustainable Finance team within our Ratings practice in EMEA, preferably based in our London, Paris or Frankfurt office

The Location : EMEA - London, Paris or Frankfurt office preferred

What's in it for you :
You will specifically be working as part of a growing team of dedicated sustainable finance analysts on the development and application of the ESG methodology and contribute to ESG research.

Responsibilities:
  • Support - and gradually lead sustainable finance analysts in conducting ESG Evaluations and Second Party Opinions on sustainable debt instruments.
  • Assist - and gradually lead interactions with external clients, including meeting with management teams and board members
  • Support research and thought leadership articles: Contribute to ESG-related research and analysis. This work should result in the publication of research commentaries that are widely read by the investment community.
  • Support Sustainable Finance expert in external engagements (Market outreach, customer interactions, ESG Evaluation preparedness meetings)
  • Support subject matter expert to support rating practices for ESG in ratings
  • Support the roll out of sustainability trainings internally
What we are looking for:
Education and Experience
  • Should have a bachelor's degree with some courses in sustainability, finance, and environmental management
  • 0-3 years' work experience
  • Knowledge of (and interest in) ESG, sustainability, responsible investing, environmental and climate finance
  • English required, German and/or Italian a plus
Skills and abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of adaptability and flexibility
  • Ability to manipulate data from Excel and databases and to work with PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and be resourceful, gathering information from various internal and external sources to summarize trends and themes
