Based at Duchy College Rosewarne, we are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to head our dedicated and highly professional Veterinary Nursing team. We are looking for an organised and energetic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who will be responsible for setting and maintaining the highest standards of Veterinary Nursing education provision across Duchy College, whist continuing to develop and grow our further and higher education programmes. Duchy College Rosewarne is a specialist Land-based College with purpose-built animal science and veterinary nursing training facilities working closely with industry and developing the employability skills for the future industry.
Applicants must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN), have a minimum of four years' experience as an RVN in practice and have worked within an educational environment for a minimum of five years. In addition, applicants must be Clinical Coach Trained, hold a full teaching qualification e.g. PGCE, DET or Certificate of Education (or willingness to achieve within three years of appointment), must be a graduate in Veterinary Nursing or a related relevant degree subject and have Level 2 English and maths (or equivalent).
Ideally candidates will hold a D34/ V1/TAQA Verifier/IQA award (or be willing to undertake the TAQA Verifier/IQA awards), have demonstrable experience of using nursing logs/e-portfolios and supporting Student Veterinary Nurses to record Day One Skills and have Level 3 English and maths.
