The Role
A newly created role to shape, lead and manage all our planned maintenance and compliance activities across both our school and college estate of c75,000sqm. This is an exciting time to join the estate team as we are embarking on our journey of transformation and this role is a pivotal part of that change. You will be managing the operational delivery of all estate's activities and should be able to create positive relationships with all staff and third-party providers. Your role will lead/assist/support the in the monitoring and delivery of a range of building works and projects, ensuring works are completed to specification and on budget, timescales are met and up-to-date records and drawings are maintained. You will ensure the estate including buildings and grounds are maintained to a safe and secure standard at all times.
You will also provide professional procurement and tender management arrangements for a range of key contracts including the regular review of established contracts, services and contractor performance to ensure good value for money and function in line with policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience
You will hold a level 3 Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) and a level 3 in related Mechanical and Electrical Discipline. You will have knowledge of financial regulations and procedures relating to tendering and quotation levels, and knowledge of legislation (including EU) concerning tendering limits and procedures. You will also experience in PPM delivery in a suitably sized/complex organisation and have experience of service standards and how to delivery first class customer satisfaction.
You will have the ability to manage budgets and meet financial targets, coupled with excellent analytical skills where you can solve problem and implement change. You will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with good IT knowledge.
