LEGAL ASSISTANT / PARALEGAL

Legal Works is looking to recruit an experienced, and personable Legal Assistant / Paralegal or equivalent to provide legal support to the Head of Legal in this niche commercial lending business.
COMPANY & TEAM
This Company is a leading provider of acquisition finance to Independent Financial Advisers in the UK.
The TEAM are primarily a remote-working outfit based in England, however, there is the option for YOU to work from co-working space based in the central London office.
The TEAM meets in person at least once a month to collaborate as required.
ROLE
To scale up in 2022, the COMPANY is looking for an energetic Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join the agile team to assist in deal execution and manage deal flow.
YOU will primarily be working with the Head of Legal, with broader ad-hoc support to the deal team.
YOU
To be successful YOU will be expected to:
*Draft finance and security documents as required for each deal, working from approved templates.
*Communicate easily with clients throughout the process to ensure deals complete in an efficient and timely manner.
*Provide clients with auxiliary templates to further support the completion process.
*Review and negotiate deal documents with support from the Head of Legal.
*Assist the Head of Legal with special projects and in-house legal and secretarial matters.
*Assist in designing and streamlining workflows with a focus on client experience.
*Ensure client files are stored and organised efficiently post deal completion.
Skills:
*Knowledge, experience, and exposure to corporate finance law.
*Proactive, ability to work creatively within a team.
*Accurate attention to details and ability to work under tight deadlines.
*Great people and communication skills.
*Strong computer proficiency, particularly with Office365.
*Confidence to constructively question processes and implement improvements. Ability to stand on your own 2 feet.
*Experience using Salesforce and Slack is a plus but not essential.
