Our main aim is to identify the best talent for our growing Leeds branch which supports our national network.What you'll be doing: As a Trainee Underwriter, you'll be dealing with customers, providing excellent service and working to demanding targets. This will involve building relationships and speaking confidently with people over the phone. As well as providing administration support within the team, you'll learn how to underwrite new and existing business profitably, accurately and in line with established Underwriting practice. The role will be working within a team dealing with a specific facility, whilst supported and part of our wider commercial fleet team, which ultimately allows for longer term career progression.Most of all, you'll take pride in the service you offer to all customers and partners.At AXA we're adopting a Hybrid way of working, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the Leeds office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers.QualificationsAre you who we're looking for?We're guided every day by our four core values: Customer First, Integrity, Courage and One AXA. However, we ask for a minimum entry requirement of A level or equivalent in numerical subjects (Maths, Science, Economics, Business, Accounting etc).IDD: This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.What we offerThere will be a very thorough induction programme, introducing you to AXA, our systems and processes.
