JOB ROLE We are looking for an Environmental and Sustainability Manager to join our client who is one of the leaders in their sector and are always pushing boundaries within their sector to continue their exceptional growth. This role will be to support the business in creating and implementing a strategy to continue the businesses journey to a net zero pathway by 2030.
As the Sustainability Manager your responsibilities will include:-
- Drive the companies strategy to a net zero pathway by 2030
- Responsible for building on the energy reduction progress in the UK business
- You will lead on everything energy, so must be a great communicator with a genuine passion for sustainability
- Must have a technical mindset as the role involves data and reporting
- Be able to deliver a clear strategy and support the business in their journey to reduce their carbon footprint
Key competencies for this role include:-
- You must have a driving license and access to a vehicle
- Experience in sustainability and driving a culture of it within a business
- Experience in the energy or environmental sectors would be preferred but not essential
- Experience in putting forward plans and ideas to support a NetZero pathway
- Technically minded, with strong experience in reporting and technical analysis
- Strong Excel capabilities - with the willingness and ability to learn further programmes and tools
- Enjoy working with others, including external energy consultants, and taking the team with you on the journey
- A proven track record of delivering carbon reduction projects
- Strong interest in environmental issues
- Proficiency in using MS Office
- Efficient and effective project planning; an element of resourcing and budgeting would be ideal
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
