Prospectus is delighted to be supporting a national education body to recruit for an Interim Head of Finance and Resources for a period of 6 months, with opportunities for this role to become permanent. Finance is the key requirement of this role and while there are other aspects of this position covering the resources side, the organisation is open to hearing from candidates keen to be focused solely on the Finance part of the position. To start in January 2022 (February latest).
The full role will be responsible for the management of all internal support services including finance, IT, premises, HR, data and security, and internal policies and procedures. It will involve both strategic reasoning and operational activity. The role will be responsible for financial planning and compliance and risk management and governance processes. The post holder will actively contribute to the aims and objectives of the Finance Committee, and give timely updates to Officers , Board members and Trust Committees where relevant. Central to this role is the ability to foster positive working relationships across teams.
The successful candidate will be an experienced senior finance professional with strong knowledge of charity accounting SORP and charity governance. You will also be an excellent communicator, with the ability to communicate complex finance issues to non finance experts.
