International Adviser
Full time, permanent, based at City College Norwich.

Are you passionate about empowering students and supporting them to fulfil their potential? Do you already hold an IAG or Careers qualification, or would you be interested in completing a fully funded Level 4 Careers and IAG qualification with the potential to progress on to Level 6?

We are recruiting a new International Adviser within our Advice & Guidance team and we are looking for people who have the ability to inspire, someone who has excellent communication and presentation skills and a desire to help students realise their career potential.

You will provide advice and guidance assessing applicants from overseas and in the UK on their immigration status, eligibility to study, assess their qualifications and fee status. Working within the International team, you will be responsible for assessing Student Visa applications and assisting with the preparation of relevant documentation via the UKVI website.

You will also support existing students with their progression routes and providing careers guidance. You will need to have a meticulous approach and a flair for research and interpretation of Government rules and regulations. The role will include providing marketing support and recruitment drives. The post will be based at the heart of college in our busy and dynamic Advice Shop but will also include some evening and weekend work throughout the year.

Applicants should have a first or higher degree and/or a relevant professional qualification and experience of working in an advice and guidance setting. Experience of working with International students and/or UKVI rules and regulations (or equivalent from outside the UK) is essential.
We will invest in your professional development to give you the tools you need to do this important job in our College.

The International Adviser position works at the heart of the City College Norwich campus in the Advice Shop. Working with likeminded people, the role requires teamwork, flexibility, and problem-solving skills to deal with the variety of enquiries we receive. General day to day duties include providing advice and guidance to current and potential students through drop -in appointments, emails and telephone enquiries, live chat, school liaison activities and open days.
