We are looking for dedicated and hard-working Learning Support Assistants to join our team at Farnham Sixth form College. We are looking for someone to join on a 22.5 hour contract to support the learners with their A-Level.
The successful applicant's will be supporting students with a range of learning difficulties including Autism on A-Level Courses.
The main duties will be assisting students in their classroom-based lessons and supporting self-directed study times with the student on a 1:1 basis.
The hourly rate offered for these positions is from £8.85 - £9.49ph depending on skills and experience.
(Term time only salary calculator - your pay will be based on your working hours per week, multiplied by the number of weeks worked, plus 6 weeks holiday and will be spread equally over 12 months).
(For casual employees you will submit a claim for the actual hours worked and this will be paid in arrears).
About you and what do you need to be successful?
This is a challenging role that requires resilience, motivation, initiative and patience.
You will be able to provide support to students with Autism and associated difficulties. You will have good communication skills to be able to work with tutors to ensure the delivery of an effective programme of further education and to work as part of a co-ordination team.
