Your role

Curriculum Leadership

Lead the design and development of the curriculum including;

  • Leading learning needs analysis activities
  • Confirming curriculum requirements
  • Identifying and managing key stakeholder relationships
  • Establishing priorities for related development activities

Project Leadership

Act as project lead on individual learning development projects, and providing coaching and support to the team leader and other team members throughout the project to ensure they are able to deliver a high quality learning solution in the agreed timeframe. Specifically:

  • Establishing a team with the requisite skills and experience for the project
  • Lead meetings with key stakeholders
  • Liaising, as appropriate, with the Global Audit & Assurance Learning Advisory Board, and any curriculum advisory groups to gather input and direction
  • Consulting with Audit & Assurance Learning Leaders (AALLs) from member firms and other relevant stakeholders
  • Confirming learning needs related to the project
  • Where appropriate, establishing and managing a small advisory group of SMEs and other relevant stakeholders for the project (the Project Advisory Group)
  • Producing appropriate planning documents, including scoping document, and managing review and approval of such documents by key stakeholders
  • Determining need for, and planning, appropriate pilot activities

Ensure a robust, engaging and performance focused instructional design approach by:

  • Identifying the need for, and managing the involvement, of external consultants where required
  • Working collaboratively with the team leader to develop the ID approach
  • Supporting the team leader during detailed design planning including reviewing of outputs
  • Ensuring adequate consultation and input from AALLs, stakeholders and the project advisory group, including managing conflicting needs and opinions
  • Overseeing production, review and approval of detailed design documents by key stakeholders

Support high quality and on-time delivery of the project by:

  • Supporting team leader to address staffing, resourcing and other project issues as they arise
  • Performing a learning and preliminary technical review of content
  • Setting up and managing technical review process, and liaising with technical reviewer throughout projects
  • Ensuring final sign off and approval of all project deliverables by all necessary stakeholders

Seek consistent and widespread implementation of the learning solution by member firms by:

  • Ensuring thorough consultation and collaboration with member firms and key stakeholders up front and throughout the project
  • Working with the Implementation Manager to develop a communication and deployment plan
  • Work with the GAAL Monitoring and Measurement team to conduct a formal evaluation of the learning solution's impact and effectiveness and develop plans to respond to feedback:
  • Ensuring an evaluation strategy is developed and deployed and that evaluation data is regularly reviewed and responded to
  • Undertaking a project wrap up and review meeting to identify points forward for action in subsequent development
  • Work with the Global Audit & Assurance Learning Leader to develop appropriate budget and resourcing plans, and work to the agreed plans.
  • Ensure GAAL processes, templates and approval requirements are adhered to throughout the project.
  • Manage performance of the development team throughout the project and provide performance feedback for the team leaders

Additionally:

  • Provide leadership, direction, and manage performance of the portfolio learning sub-team
  • Participate as a member of the Global Audit Learning leadership team, in establishing and delivering on the GAAL strategies and priorities, and managing the work program for Global Audit & Assurance Learning.

Work pattern: This is a permanent opportunity. The role can be worked on a full-time basis.

Your professional experience

Experience

  • Audit client service experience
  • Curriculum strategy and design experience, within a professional services environment
  • Experience of audit and/or assurance curriculum development projects desirable
  • Working within a global virtual team environment

Skills

  • Strong learning design skills for both face-to-face and e-learning environments.
  • Strong ISA based Audit technical skills. Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills, including ability to coach and develop others.
  • Able to establish credibility and build rapport with leaders, internal clients and colleagues at all levels, and across different cultures
