Job role:

Merrist Wood College, part of the Activate Learning College group, are now recruiting for an Equine Maintenance Technician to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the Equine yard and arena, in addition to supporting with the day to day running of the equine facilities. You will maintain the equine fields, hedgerows, stables and facilities, ensuring that the yard is fully stocked with supplies for the horses.

This can be full or part time/job share, please note on your application form your preference and working hours, if part time.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

You will have experience of grounds maintenance, ideally with some experience of working around horses. You will have a good understanding of industry Health & Safety procedures, along with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications in using ground maintenance equipment would be preferable, but full training can be provided.
