Assistant\/Junior Quantity Surveyor Job. Interior and light construction works company. Up to \u00A340K and 25 hols.
Your new company
Based on the Western outskirts of Coventry this successful interior works contractor is seeking an ambitious and driven junior or assistant level QS to join their thriving team. My client operates across the Midlands, delivering works primarily in the Birmingham Coventry areas. Presently, my client operates mainly in the education sector, however, they also deliver works in the health and commercial sectors and they typically touch on light civils works on many projects. In terms of project specifics, they perform major and minor refurbishments, fit-out, extension construction and associated groundworks\/paving.
Your new role
You will work as a junior level (or assistant, depending on who you ask) QS. You will report directly to the Commercial Manager and work alongside other intermediary and senior QS's. You will complete all general QS duties and take on the general QS responsibilities. This role is an excellent opportunity for a QS with a few years of industry experience and a relevant degree who is making the decision to step up and really start driving their career forwards.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have roughly 3-5 years of industry experience as a graduate\/junior\/assistant QS. It is not necessarily important what sectors you have worked in or on what project types. However, it would be preferable for you to have worked on housing and groundworks at some point.
You will also have a relevant (ideally QS'ing) degree.
You must be able to work out of a Western Coventry office and be willing to work on sites around the County.
You must also have real drive and passion for your work as this role will allow you to achieve potentially unlimited success.
What you'll get in return
An excellent salary up to \u00A340,000 is on offer for the right candidate. The exact salary offered will be calculated based on your experience and individual competency.
You will also get a very competitive 25 days holidays plus 8 days statutory leave and a car allowance of some size.
This role will also provide you with the chance to accelerate into an intermediate QS position and to start making a name for yourself in the industry.
