To help with their mission they are on the hunt for an IT Service Desk Apprentice to join their family in Dundee.
Your main duty will be to provide front line IT support, which means you'll be the first person the users of their service turn to. Their existing team are renowned for the level of support they provide and the friendly way they engage with the people we support.
As an IT Service Desk apprentice, you will work in the IT Service where you will be supported throughout your apprenticeship by the team in learning the technical and soft skills required to support the business and yourself throughout your apprenticeship and be given all the necessary tools that other IT team members use.
You will work as part of team of IT Technicians to provide IT services to a business of circa 600 employees. You will be assigned an IT Mentor to help you at every stage of your apprenticeship.
*Working with a Senior IT Support Analyst you will be able to learn and develop your skills in IT alongside your studies. You will do this by: *
* Solving IT and application incidents in line with Standard operating procedures (SOPs) Log and manage incidents and service requests
* Fix first line support issues over the phone
* Be involved with hands on hardware fault and request resolution
* Perform testing on new equipment and ensure ready for end user
* Set up new starters to the business on the many company platforms
* AD, Email, WebEx, Telephone system etc
* Set up and moves of IT equipment
* Participate in regular IT meetings and bring fresh ideas to existing processes
* Work as part of a team to provide an end-to-end IT Service As part of your apprenticeship, in Year 1 you will work towards an SCQF Level 6 Diploma in IT & Telecommunications, with the option to progress to Level 8 in Year 2.
* You will be provided time for study during your working hours and also attend classroom training (virtually) which is relevant to your job role.

* Desirable Skills include: Knowledge of PC Hardware & Software (Windows 7/10)
* Knowledge of Mobile Phone Hardware & Software (Apple & Android) A
* Any IT Experience
