What's the job?

Our client is now looking for an experienced Marketing Analyst to join their team and help them achieve their mission to inspire people to connect with each other more often and in more meaningful ways.

Reporting into the Marketing Director, you will play a key role in conducting analysis that informs the decisions we make as a marketing team. You will work closely with each marketing function (acquisition, retention, trading), and the Business Intelligence & Insight team while collaborating on cross-functional projects across the business to identify trends and opportunities.

This is a brand new role for our client, and will be an exciting opportunity if you're highly analytical and love data, you're passionate about marketing and looking for an opportunity to develop your skills and join a fast-growing business.

What will you do?

  • Analyse marketing data across all channels to identify trends and opportunities
  • Deliver actionable insights and commentary back to team to influence optimisations and steer decision making
  • Build, maintain and own regular reporting to effectively communicate marketing performance across the business
  • Conduct deep dive analysis to root cause key drivers of marketing performance
  • Translate complex data into insightful analysis and actionable, strategic recommendations
  • Influence long term strategy with data-driven analysis and evidence
  • Work with our BI team to advance our data capture and data management for Marketing related data
  • Monitor internal and external digital trends and technologies to continually improve channel performance
  • Analyse customer cohort behaviour, assessing trends in retention KPIs such as Reorder Rate and Purchase Frequency
  • Work with the Retention and Customer Insight teams to evaluate behavioural and demographic data and identify appropriate ways to segment the customer base
  • Work with the Trading team to analyse the impact of key marketing levers, such as promotions, to conversion rate, paid channels performance and existing customers behaviour

Requirements

You'll succeed in this role if you:

Have 3+ years of data-driven, marketing (or similarly transferable) knowledge and experience

Have strong analytical skills & attention to detail

Are excellent at excel

Have experience using a Business Intelligence tool such as Looker or Tableau

Are proactive and enjoy taking the initiative to drive projects forward and propose new ideas

Are a great communicator and enjoy working across different functions in a business

(ideally) have knowledge of SQL
