We are looking for an exceptional Headteacher / Acting Headteacher (secondment welcomed) for the new Dual Stream All-age School at Ysgol Bro Caereinion.

This is a unique opportunity for a high-calibre individual with a vision and commitment to drive forward the establishment of the new Dual Stream All-age School, set in the beautiful rural market town of Llanfair Caereinion, in mid Wales, from September 2022 onwards.

The Governing Body of Ysgol Bro Caereinion have developed an innovative and inclusive vison for the development of the Welsh Language in the school and its community. This inspiring vision will strengthen and deepen the Welsh medium provision whilst at the same time working with families to support their choice of Welsh Medium education. The temporary governing body are seeking to appoint a passionate leader who can deliver this vision and spearhead educational innovation and champion new ways of promoting the Welsh Language. As such, you will need to be fluent in Welsh. Feeder schools and other partners will be essential in helping to develop this vision.

You will be a dynamic and innovative individual with a proven track record of operating at a senior management level, with well-developed strategic and operational leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills. You will be committed to delivering high quality learning to all pupils and to working in partnership with pupils, staff, parents, governors and the community to provide an environment in which staff and pupils are supported in achieving their full potential.

The post is currently offered at Group 5a ISR 19 - 25 with the possibility of additional allowances, a relocation package and commitment to providing full support for continuing professional development for the successful candidate. This will include assisting the headteacher / acting headteacher in establishing the vision of the temporary governing body.
