Job Description
Salary £17,538 per annum pro rata - rising to £22,437 per annum pro rata on successful completion of 6 month probation period
We are looking to recruit an experienced Welfare Officer to support the needs and welfare of vulnerable students who are at risk of not achieving. A particular focus of the role is providing support to students with Mental Health issues.
Working in a team, you will deliver a face-to-face welfare service supporting and empowering students and making referrals to external agencies, where appropriate. You will represent both the student and the College at external multi-agency meetings as well as undertake the role of safeguarding officer.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, care about the welfare of students and be able to work effectively under pressure.
