The CFDA is the central governing body over the Systems Engineering lifecycle in DCC.As an Architect (Engineer) for the Cross Functional Design Authority (CFDA) you will support the CFDA deliver governance over all DCC Programmes and Projects. This an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take their first steps into Architecture and Systems Engineering.

You will:

  • Support the Head of CFDA in governing DCC Systems Engineering across the whole of DCC major Programmes and Projects.
  • Support the management and accuracy of DCC Enterprise Repository (BiZZdesign).
  • Take direction from CFDA Senior Architects and Head of the CFDA Design
  • Support the administration and management of the CFDA.
  • Support meetings where required and take meeting notes.
  • Support reporting, metrics, and action management.
  • Analyse DCC Business Systems and capture Architecture Building blocks.
  • Help document the CFDA practice.
  • Support the delivery of the CFDA function in governing Systems Engineering.
  • Support the assurance of Systems Engineering.
  • Support the administration and management of the CFDA
  • Support the management of DCC enterprise repository
  • Skills and Experiences Essential
  • Graduate in Systems Engineering or related IT subject
  • Some experience of the software delivery lifecycle
  • Some experience in UML and/or BPMN
  • Understanding of Domain Drive Design (DDD)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools Teams, Word, Excel, Visio etc.
  • Resilient, proactive, Self-sufficient but team player.
  • Real eye for detail
Skills and Experiences Essential
  • Graduate in Systems Engineering or related IT subject
  • Some experience of the software delivery lifecycle
  • Some experience in UML and/or BPMN
  • Understanding of Domain Drive Design (DDD)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools Teams, Word, Excel, Visio etc.
  • Resilient, proactive, Self-sufficient but team player.
  • Real eye for detail
Skills and Experiences Desirable
  • Experience of modelling languages ArchiMate.
  • TOGAF knowledge
  • Modelling tool experience
