Water Systems Solutions Architect - Worthing, West Sussex/Remote/WFH
6 months rolling contract/£615 per day (OUTSIDE IR35)/based in Worthing with some remote working, but still require to be in the office
Systems experience knowledge for the Water Systems Solutions Architect:
- Ellipse.
- RPS's Waternet application.
- Crowder's Netbase application.
- Cognos.
- PI.
- ScopeX.
- SCADA.
- MapInfo.
My client a leading technology strong professional services company seek an experienced Solution Architect from within the utilities and specifically water sector/industry to help replace their current leakage reporting system (LMARS), with a new system yet to be determined.
As the Water Systems Solutions Architect have approximately six interfaces which you will need to understand and document in a High-Level Architecture (HLA) document. The successful candidate will work with the Enterprise Architects to draft this document to a sufficient standard that they obtain approval to proceed.
The Water Systems Solutions Architect:
- Provides technical leadership for on-going development of the solutions within this area.
- Works with internal and external analysts.
- Is responsible for the technical architecture and design activities by complying with relevant architectural principles, policies and standards.
Duties/responsibilities for the Water Systems Solutions Architect:
- Produces documented and evaluated architectural options for solutions in response to business requirements (including risks, costs, implications, opportunities).
- Acts as a technical lead in product and vendor selection providing the technical evaluation of products, options and responses to tenders.
- Undertakes investigation, analysis and documentation of existing architectures.
- Participates in investigation, evaluation, selection and documentation of new technologies, conducting research and providing documented and evaluated architectural options to meet requirements.
- The ideal Water Systems Solutions Architect will be familiar applications/software such as Ellipse, RPS's Waternet application, Crowder's Netbase application, Cognos, PI, ScopeX, SCADA, MapInfo, SAP and CSMS (they use this system in operations to manage customer technical issues as opposed to SAP which they use for customer billing).
