TJX Europe are currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst, within our BP&A division. This is a key position within the BP&A Planning finance team with ownership of the P&L forecasting. Business partnering is going to be key as the role partners across finance to consolidate P&L risks and opportunities and provide a P&L narrative to the Execs and Corporate. This role provides a great opportunity to support the Senior Leadership team, with direct exposure to the European CFO
Key Responsibilities
• Key business partner for commercial teams on P&L forecasting. The role is expected to understand our business model and its cost structures and challenge business partners on profitability
• Responsible for updating the Senior Leadership team twice a month on the P&L including any risk and opportunities to profit
• Expected to have a good understanding of overall profitability (including sales and all P&L lines)
• Responsible for submitting the P&L rolling forecast to Corporate including any supporting documents for use in the Earnings Release and Board of Directors meetings
• Responsible for organising and planning the rolling plan timetable, including arranging reviews with business partners
• Point of contact for Corporate (in the US) on rolling forecast
• Be a resource for the Execs for any questions they have on the P&L
• Support with ad hoc analysis as and when required
Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Accounting qualification
3 to 5 years of experience in retail environment would be an advantage
Ability to develop relationships, communicate and influence across the business at various levels
Ability to present at a Senior Leadership level
High level of initiative, curiosity and drive
Advanced Excel systems skills
Developed analytical skills
Ability to develop and maintain financial models
Ability to escalate issues and assist in resolving them
