Job Summary

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a finance professional to join our Financial Control team at our European Head Office of TJX Europe.

The Senior Finance Analyst - Projects will be responsible for setting up and maintaining all aspects of margin reporting on key projects, currently including Brexit. The role will report to the Finance Manager - Projects.

The Senior Finance Analyst - Projects role will need to develop models to give insightful reporting for all aspects of Brexit impacting margin. They will need to do this whilst responding to the changing needs of the business as it continues to evolve and grow. Building effective relationships across financial control, distribution, distribution finance will be key to provide clear and insightful reporting

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Finance Analyst - Projects will be responsible for:

Brexit inbound duty reporting

Building and maintaining integrity of all aspects of Brexit impacting margin
Support the buying analysis team to produce presentations and Exec packs to report on
Supporting the buying function with ad-hoc queries relating to Brexit impacts on margin

Forecasting overs and shorts (actual cost vs estimated cost)

Producing monthly reporting and analysis of freight and duty overs and shorts
Responsible for the forecasting of all overs and shorts relating to freight and duty
Clearly communicating forecasts to FC Forecasting and Reporting team
Liaising with distribution finance to understand freight overs and shorts

Reviewing and managing duty factor rates (duty estimates)

Responsible reviewing and maintaining accurate duty factor rates
Supporting the buying function on duty factor rate queries and liaising with TJX customs teams

Reviewing and managing duty outbound freight %

Reconciling Irish outbound duty to freight control account and signing off on a monthly basis
Forecasting Irish outbound duty % and making and changes required to the duty freight
Providing buying analysis reporting to show Irish duty department / GM
Supporting the Buying analysis to review opportunities to mitigate / reduce Irish duty

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Qualified accountant
Data skills are a necessity including where possible skills in Power BI
Ability to maintain and develop financial models - advanced Excel skills are a necessity
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Developed analytical skills and problem solving skills
Be able to evaluate and make recommendations rather than simply providing reports
Flexibility in approach and a willingness to go beyond the defined role
The ability to multitask, prioritize and work in a fast paced environment
Experience in retail would be a plus
The ability to escalate issues and assist in resolving them
