Job Description
The Liaison and Special Project lead helps those with sight loss to live the life they choose by providing high level professional and expert executive support to Chief Executive (CEO) in any area deemed appropriate and relevant, ensuring projects/activities are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed standard. The role will also act as primary liaison with the charities Patron.
This role is 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, with 26 days paid holiday (excluding bank holidays) a year.

Candidate requirements
To be able to fulfil this role, the skills and experience we are looking for in a potential candidate include;
Essential
Has operated at a senior level with exposure to strategy, policy and business plan formulation and devising and managing within budgets.
Proven experience of working effectively across multiple areas of an organisation and management of diverse stakeholders.
Able to identify and manage risks.
Managing people and business skills.
Good grasp of employment legislation and business management practices including HR practices, financial and commercial aspects
A demonstrable high level of verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to assimilate and interpret complex information, reach decisions and put forward options and recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer, Trustees, Executive Board.
Sound skills in project planning, project management and successful delivery of projects.
Competent at planning, organising and prioritising own workload.
Good attention to detail.
The ability to enthuse and engage others.
Presents as professional and credible.
