Uniform Education work with over 600 partnership schools around London and the Home Counties. We are currently working closely with a number of wonderful mainstream primary schools in and around the London Borough of Brent.
Our schools are in need of new support staff for this academic year and are continually trialling suitable candidates for a variety of roles, including short-term, long-term, full-time and part-time. Therefore, we are recruiting for Learning Support Assistants who are available and searching for a new role.
Learning Support Assistant roles consist primarily of 1:1 or small group work delivering interventions and managing behaviour and engagement with children with mild to moderate SEND, in order to support and enhance learning and progress of the children.
We are looking for individuals with the following:
* Experience working with children in an educational setting (experience with SEN or SEMH needs is desirable)
* Ability to evaluate student abilities to enable enhanced support, adapt learning materials to suit needs and keep track and reflect on progress
* Good behaviour management skills
* Ability to bring proactivity, enthusiasm and energy to the role
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Patience and adaptability
* A current DBS on the Update Service or willing to complete a DBS check
