Salary: £35,000 + company car

Our client has a vacancy for a Sales Engineer to join their growing Sales Engineering team. The successful candidate will ideally be based in the following locations: Doncaster, Peterborough, Kings Lynn, or close surrounding areas. You will be home based but will travel around the UK and sometimes overseas. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending customer sites, building relationships with customers and selling a variety of engineering components and engines to OEM's who operate within the Machine Manufacturing and Vehicle Manufacturing sectors.

Please note that this role will be home based and will involve travelling across the UK with some international travel therefore you must be flexible with regards to travel.

£35,000 SALARY, MONDAY TO THURSDAY 8AM - 4.45PM, FRIDAY 8AM - 12.30, 22 DAYS HOLIDAY + BANK HOLIDAYS, COMPANY PENSION, MOBILE PHONE, LAPTOP, COMPANY CAR (CAN BE USED FOR PRIVATE USE), EXPENSES PAID FOR, TRAINING ON THE JOB.

Sales Engineer Responsibilities:

• Travelling to customer sites to identify parts to complete build specifications, liaison with franchises on technical and pricing issues and compilation of BoMs to suit customer requirements.
• Gain an understanding for customers technical requirements and advising them of the products that are best suited to their technical specifications.
• Liaison with other departments concerning logistics and engineering.
• Maintaining price lists accordingly.
• Turning warm leads into business.
• Fulfilling customers' requirements/needs.
• Providing quotations to customers.
• Completing visit/contact reports for distribution around the company and franchises.
• Research into new opportunities.
• Planning your next working week in advance through analysing how your current working week has been.

Sales Engineer Requirements:

• The successful candidate must have a strong engineering / technical background.
• Ideally you will have experience with engines, vehicle systems, vehicle components and electric vehicle technology.
• Have the ability to work closely with customers to understand their technical specifications.
• Must hold a full clean UK driving licence.
• A confident approach and good rapport building skills.
• A flexible approach to travelling.
