About the roleOur DS Smith Recycling Head Office, based in Caerphilly, is seeking a Logistics Planner. To be a Logistics Planner at DS Smith it is very important that you can work with data and information, communicate effectively with colleagues and achieve results for the Business with a Customer focused approach.The role will require understanding of the customer journey process, industry knowledge in Logistics and Export recycling platforms, including letter of credit (training provided) and implementing best practice procedure. The DS Smith brand promise, allied with our internal set of values, will be used to support a world class quality orientated customer service ethos.The role will be on a rotational basis Monday-Friday between 7:30am-5:30pm. Please note this role requires the person to work 12 weekend shifts (Saturday 8:30-13:30, Sunday 10:00-13:30) and 2 Bank Holiday (8:30-13:30) per calendar year this is payed back through "Time off in leu" (TOIL).Key tasks for our Logistics Planner will include...· Taking telephone enquiries from haulage contractors and DS Smith Recycling sites· Arranging the collection of recycling, ensuring it reaches its end destination through Road and Sea Export/Import multimodal transportation· Monitoring the shared Inbox, and replying to any enquiries· Use the most up to date systems to generate Purchase Orders and raising tickets if necessary· Keeping abreast of relevant industry developments and modern call handling techniques· Being aware of and display internal DS Smith Values and external brand proposition and how these fits into the Business Services function· Working with the Logistics Team leaders and Managers to foster profitable customer interaction· Demonstrate an 'Own It' culture where customer issues are owned to a first call resolution culture· Meeting and exceeding agreed targets and goals that match the customer and business needs in line with agreed contractual SLA's and KPI's· Demonstrating a high-quality standard in all interactions through both CRM as well as verbal and written communication via a 'quality first' ethos· Accurate and Effective use of the CRM system for every customer contact, establishing a quality approach to data management.About youMininum requirements· Good team player with a customer service/administration background· Target driven and is used to working to deadlines, SLA's and KPI's· Proven ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks to achieve shared and personal objectives· Perseverance with difficult situations, even when things become difficult, repetitive or inconvenient· Show passion and enthusiasm in achieving business goals· Take personal responsibility in delivering excellent customer servicePreferred requirements
