The NSG Group is a global leader in glass manufacturing in three business areas: Architectural, Automotive and Technical Glass.

This position sits within the Flat Glass Technology group but has opportunities for development across R&D and the wider NSG Group. Initially, you'll focus on float bath chemistry, glass forming and annealing physical behaviour, understanding the stresses induced by production and processing and protection of glass from physical and chemical damage.
Your role will also involve process improvement and cost reduction initiatives, technical assistance to manufacturing sites, development of value-added products and decarbonisation, environmental, health and safety initiatives.
We're looking for someone who has a degree in a science or engineering based subject or who has relevant industrial experience. You'll be someone who enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary, internationally spread team, and relish completing high profile tasks to demanding timescales.
An agile self-starter with good communication and influencing skills, you will enjoy data analysis and finding innovative solutions. knowledge of statistical analysis would be beneficial, however this is not essential. Training and development will be provided to help you improve your technical and managerial competence.
It is essential that you are willing to travel for short periods of time within the UK and overseas.
