Part time Lecturer - Health & Social Care (22.5 hours)

Salary: £14,576 - £17,265 per annum

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Health, Social & Professional Studies Department as Lecturer based within our University Centre Somerset (UCS) curriculum team at Taunton. The Department is at a stage of development and growth as we respond to the evolving needs of the health & social care sector.

The post holder will be responsible for lecturing on our BA/FD Health and Social care degree for the remaining three years of is validation with the Open University. They will play a vital role in providing high quality teaching, learning and assessment as well as supporting learners to maximise their potential on their own unique learning journeys. Working closely with academic staff as well as local employers and stakeholders, the post holder will play an active role in the maintenance and quality of the curriculum offer to ensure a contemporary and academic relevant programme.

The ideal candidate will have industry experience and be flexible in their approach to adapt to the various levels and needs of learners. They will be expected to co-ordinate a highly effective teaching, learning and assessment experience across allocated courses and work with their peers to influence and contribute to the college's expectations of quality.

Depending on their background and experience, the post holder will support the Course Leader, Curriculum Manager and Head of Department in progressing the successful development of a new professionally accredited BA Social Work degree and degree apprenticeship
