Java Team Tech Lead - Banking / Remote

We are currently recruiting for a tech/team lead to take charge of the Java development team at a large retail bank and work on the digital transformation initiative that is starting in January.

The role will consist of:

• Team/Tech management
• Liaising with business stakeholders
• Code review
• Design and Architecture
• Mentoring junior developers

The work will consist of developing new back-end solutions which are part of the business digitisation initiative, as currently all the work is done manually and the aim is to automate lot of the current work being done.

Required skills:

• Experience in a leadership role for a Java team
• Hands on or ex development experience in Java
• Any knowledge of UI tech is nice to have as there will be interaction with the UI team
• Agile, TDD, CI/CD
• Automation, API, Cloud tech
• Design Patterns
