About the Role

Our client based in Rushden is looking for a skilled and experienced production planner to join their team. As the production planner, you will issue and maintain production plans to meet both the sales requirements and budget constraints whilst continuously improving and developing the systems and procedures.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Manage & Optimise production schedules for maximum throughput, operational efficiencies, accurate reporting of and identifying trends / constraints.
• Reporting on and influencing purchasing, inventory, production teams on product cover and flow.
• Working with the sales team with regard to latest dates for all confirmed and potential orders, identifying changes, resolving anomalies
• Analysing, reporting, and advising relevant departments on key order progression dates
• Monitor promised and targeted production capacity to avoid date slippage, releasing excesses capacity and communicating priorities to the senior management team to ensure all promised dates are achieved
• Assist in the management of the budget for production, reviewed in line with business requirements.
• Manage & build strong relationships with Internal & External Customers
• Overall responsibility for the accuracy of production planning, striving for continuous improvement against monitored and measured agreed KPI's
• Assist in the coaching & development of productions teams towards improvements
• Carry out projects and initiatives, together with reviewing site best practices ensuring these are kept up to date.

About You

• Project Management / Prince 2 Qualification
• Working experience as a Production Planner or similar
• Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
• Experience of working in a fast-paced organisation managing multiple projects simultaneously within set timeframes
