Our client, a fantastic mainstream mixed-sex secondary school, are looking for a Food Technology Teacher to start in September 2024 on a full-time basis. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 students. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our exceptional students. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who possesses a genuine passion for working with young people with diverse needs. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of inclusive teaching practices and be skilled in tailoring instructional strategies to suit individual learning styles. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the wider school community, including parents, therapists, and support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to student development. Adapt curriculum materials and resources to accommodate diverse learning abilities and styles. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the social and emotional well-being of all students. Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and implementing individualized interventions where necessary. Work closely with external professionals to access additional support and resources for students with special needs. Work closely with Teaching Assistants in your class and the wider group. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification. Proven experience working with students with diverse needs, preferably in a secondary school setting. Strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum and experience in adapting it to meet individual learning requirements.
