This key role will provide strategic commercial leadership, governance, and reporting, working closely with senior leadership and managing a commercial team delivering one of Freedom's largest projects. Some of the key deliverables in this role will include: Lead all commercial activities across a high-value (£190m) project, ensuring robust commercial governance and compliance. Manage and develop a team of Senior Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors, ensuring consistent commercial standards. Lead NEC3/NEC4 contract administration, risk management, change control and compensation events. Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, contract management and final accounts. Produce accurate CVRs and commercial reports for the Senior Leadership Team.Provide strategic commercial insight, supporting accurate forecasting, cost control and financial risk management.Ensure commercial processes align with Freedom policies, procedures and project governance.Support programme delivery through effective collaboration with project, engineering and operational teams.Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships through professional communication and commercial integrity. What We're Looking For: Essential: Strong experience in commercial management or senior quantity surveying roles. Strong NEC3/NEC4 contract experience. Demonstrable experience leading a commercial team of 5+ SQS/QS. Experience producing and presenting CVRs and reporting to Senior Leadership. BSc/MSc in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial discipline. Desirable: RICS or equivalent professional membership. Civils or groundworks project experience. We are seeking a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with a strong background in groundworks, civils, or landscaping. This role is an excellent opportunity to join our senior commercial team, focusing on the procurement and commercial management of groundworks packages. The position is office-based with some hybrid working options available. Day-to-day of the role: Report directly to the senior commercial team. Handle procurement and commercial management of groundworks packages. Prepare Bills of Quantities, conduct supplier negotiations, and manage valuations and cost control. Support estimators at the tender stage by providing accurate cost data. Work is primarily office-based with options for some hybrid working. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven background as a Quantity Surveyor, Procurement Manager, or Estimator, specifically within groundworks, civils, or landscaping.
