Senior Credit Control Manager - Recruitment Business Do you have strong credit control experience within the recruitment sector - ideally supporting a temp/contract-led business operating across multiple international markets? If so, this is a particularly interesting opportunity to take on a broader and more strategic remit than a traditional Credit Control Manager role. Our client is a growing international recruitment business looking to appoint an experienced Credit Control/Credit Risk & Working Capital Manager to review and strengthen the way it manages client exposure, commercial risk, funding relationships and credit-control processes across its international operations. Importantly, this is NOT a business with a significant aged-debt problem. The focus is much more forward-looking: understanding where risk sits, whether existing processes and structures are fit for future growth, and ensuring the business is making well-informed commercial decisions around the clients it chooses to work with and the terms it accepts. The role will include: Reviewing the existing credit-control function, processes, systems and team structure. Taking a pragmatic, hands-on approach when required - getting into the detail of individual accounts, invoices, processes and issues rather than operating purely at a strategic level. Assessing client exposure across different international markets and identifying where concentrations of risk may exist. Working with senior stakeholders to understand whether individual contracts and client relationships represent genuinely good business from a cash, risk and working-capital perspective. Challenging extended payment terms where appropriate, particularly where larger clients seek to impose terms that may be commercially unattractive. Looking beyond headline revenue to consider the wider implications of client terms, payment behaviour and funding requirements. Reviewing relationships with invoice-discounting providers across different territories and ensuring facilities remain appropriate for the business. Understanding the interaction between client contracts, billing processes, funding arrangements and cash collection. Identifying operational weaknesses that could create future collection or cash-flow issues even where no current debt problem exists. Reviewing recurring administrative or contractual issues that can delay payment, create unnecessary rework or expose the business to avoidable risk. Helping the business establish clearer controls around billing entities, contractual information, invoicing requirements and client onboarding. Reviewing the current Credit Control team and identifying opportunities to strengthen, reshape or develop the existing team. Improving reporting and visibility around debtor exposure, client concentration, payment terms, DSO and working-capital risk. Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement. Developing a more scalable framework that can support continued international expansion. What we're looking for Recruitment-sector experience is particularly important for this appointment. You'll ideally have worked within a temp or contract-led recruitment business and understand the relationship between client contracts, timesheets, payroll, billing, invoice discounting, working capital and cash collection. International experience would be highly advantageous, particularly where you've dealt with different funding providers, client structures, currencies and payment practices across several territories. We're looking for someone who can operate above the day-to-day ledger, but who is equally comfortable getting into the weeds when required. This is a strategic role, but it is not a purely advisory one: you'll need to be pragmatic, hands-on and prepared to work through the detail yourself in order to understand issues, challenge effectively and drive practical improvements. You'll be comfortable asking questions such as: Are we taking on the right type of business? Are the payment terms commercially sensible? Is our exposure to a particular client becoming too high? Are our funding arrangements appropriate in each market? Are our contracts and billing processes protecting us from avoidable delays? Is the current team structure right for where the business is heading? What could become a problem six or twelve months from now if we don't address it today? You'll combine strong technical credit-control knowledge with commercial judgement, curiosity and the confidence to challenge established ways of working. Permanent or Fixed-Term? The current intention is for this to be a permanent appointment. That said, our client recognises that the nature of the role may also appeal to someone who specialises in transformation, review and improvement projects. For the right individual, they would therefore be open to considering a 12-month fixed-term contract if that structure is better suited to the candidate and the assignment. Given the high volume of responses we receive from the combination of job boards, social media and other sources and despite our best efforts, many of our responses will be via email as we simply can't call every application - We know that's not what you want to hear but we hope you'll understand? Short-listed candidates will obviously be contacted for this specific role, and if you haven't heard from us within a week, please assume you have been unsuccessful on this occasion. We will keep your CV on file to contact you with regards to future roles and any other advice to help you, however if you do not wish to remain on our database, please let us know and we will obviously remove you. Alternatively, please feel free to contact us for a chat

Want to build a marketing function from scratch, do every bit of it yourself, and make building maintenance the most interesting thing on someone's LinkedIn feed? Read on. "Building maintenance marketing." We know. It doesn't exactly scream thrilling. Then you meet the team abseiling down the Shard at dawn. Teams that look like Ghostbusters abseiling down London's tallest buildings. Centuries-old stone being carefully restored by hand. Cutting-edge tech meeting historical craftsmanship. The kind of work that makes tourists stop and stare. We don't just maintain buildings, we're the guardians of London's skyline. From the Shard to St. Paul's, from Georgian townhouses to brutalist masterpieces, we keep the city's most iconic structures standing tall. Your mission? Build our marketing function from the ground up, and tell that story yourself. There's no marketing team here. No agency on retainer. No PR firm. Just you, a blank page, and some of the best stories in the built environment. You'll write the copy, build the Google Ads campaigns, pitch the journalists, run the LinkedIn, organise the events, and report on the numbers. Strategy in the morning, keyword bids and press releases in the afternoon. It's busy, it's full on, and it's all yours. Before you read on, a quick honesty check: This role is not for you if your recent years have been spent leading a marketing team and directing agencies. We need someone who is still doing the work, and loves doing it. If you'd need to brief an agency to run Google Ads or get press coverage, this isn't the right fit. This role is for you if you've come from any B2B sector where you've been the marketing person (or one of a very small team), and you've rolled your sleeves up across the whole mix. The Role at a Glance: Marketing Manager (Hands-On, Build From Scratch) Remote Working £50,000 - £70,000 DOE Plus Benefits Company: Building Maintenance Without Limits Values: Integrity, Attention to Detail, Fun, Innovation, Adaptability Your Background: Hands-on, full-mix marketing in a B2B services business. Proven experience personally delivering Google Ads and PR, not managing others who do. The Opportunity You'll build it all. Then you'll run it all. Strategy. Execution. Performance. There's no existing function to inherit, which means no legacy to untangle and no committee to get past. You'll set up the foundations, the plan, the channels, the tracking, the reporting, and then deliver every piece of it yourself. And you'll prove its impact with data, because this role demands a commercial operator, not a vanity-metrics marketer. About Spectrum We're the team that abseils down London's tallest buildings to keep the city standing tall. What we do: Clean, restore, and maintain facades across London and the UK, from the Shard to Georgian townhouses, heritage landmarks to modern towers. What makes us different: We design, build, and patent our own technology. Our innovative rope access techniques and custom-built pole systems mean we deliver world-class results without scaffolding, saving time, money, and disruption. The Role - What You'll Actually Be Doing (Yourself): Build & Own the Marketing Function Build and run the marketing strategy, budget, systems, tracking and reporting Own delivery across all channels, prioritising activity for maximum impact Digital Marketing Personally manage Google Ads end-to-end, including keywords, copy, bidding, landing pages and conversion tracking Own LinkedIn organic and paid activity Manage email marketing, SEO and website performance PR & Content Write press releases, pitch stories and build media relationships Secure press coverage, speaking opportunities, awards and industry visibility Create blogs, web copy, case studies, campaigns and thought leadership Own the brand voice and content calendar Events & Partnerships Plan and deliver webinars, exhibitions and industry events Build relationships with key trade partners Performance & ROI Track performance, optimise activity and stop what isn't working Manage the marketing budget and clearly demonstrate ROI About You: You're not just creative. You're commercial. And you're a doer. You understand that marketing exists to drive growth, you love proving it with numbers, and you're happiest when you're building something rather than overseeing it. Essential Experience: • 3+ years in hands-on B2B marketing roles • Personally built and managed Google Ads campaigns, not via an agency • Personally delivered PR: writing releases, pitching media, securing coverage • Experience as a solo marketer or in a very small team, covering the full marketing mix • Strong content writing across digital channels • Paid social (especially LinkedIn Ads) and email/CRM campaign management • Performance reporting and ROI tracking • Forward-thinking and tech-savvy, with a genuine enthusiasm for AI, automation and emerging technologies to streamline marketing, improve efficiency and drive results • A modern, agile approach to marketing, embracing AI-powered tools and smarter ways of working rather than relying on traditional team structures Desirable: • Experience setting up a marketing function from scratch • Experience in a scaling organisation Why Join Spectrum? • Build the function your way, this is your show from day one • Autonomy to innovate, your ideas get built, not buried • Collaborate with craftspeople, with access to London's most restricted rooftops and historic sites • Real growth potential, we're scaling, and you'll scale with us Apply now.
