Skills and Experience Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or in a similar role delivering complex business and technology change. Strong financial services experience, ideally within investment management, wealth management, stockbroking or financial markets. Work collaboratively with Product, Operations, Engineering, Architecture, Risk, Controls and subject-matter experts to define business and technology requirements. Produce detailed end-to-end process maps covering system interactions, operational hand-offs, dependencies, exceptions and failure scenarios. Identify and document process controls, ensuring clear links between operational activities, associated risks and control requirements. Assess existing and proposed processes to identify opportunities for automation, simplification and operational improvement. Analyse integrations and interactions across investment platforms, internal business systems and third-party service providers. Document data flows, data mapping and data lineage, including data sources, destinations, transformations, dependencies and reconciliation points. Investigate exception handling, operational failures and non-standard scenarios to ensure processes are fully understood beyond the standard business journey. Work closely with technical teams to ensure business requirements align with system design, integration architecture and operational needs. Produce high-quality documentation and analysis artefacts to support solution design, development, testing, implementation and ongoing operational service delivery. Facilitate workshops with stakeholders and SMEs to validate current-state processes, identify gaps and define future-state solutions. Challenge existing processes and proposed designs where necessary, ensuring solutions are practical, controlled, scalable and aligned with business outcomes. Skills and Experience Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or in a similar role delivering complex business and technology change. Strong financial services experience, ideally within investment management, wealth management, stockbroking or financial markets. Demonstrable experience defining end-to-end business processes and target operating models within large-scale transformation programmes. Strong process mapping and documentation skills, including operational hand-offs, system interactions, controls, exceptions and dependencies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business and technical information into clear, structured outputs. Experience working across multiple interconnected systems, integrations and third-party platforms. Practical experience in data mapping, data flows, data lineage and reconciliation processes. The ability to work effectively with engineers, architects and technical delivery teams while maintaining a strong focus on business and operational outcomes. Experience facilitating workshops, engaging stakeholders and working with SMEs to establish detailed requirements and validate process designs. Confidence challenging existing approaches and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, automation and control. Experience supporting large-scale transformation programmes involving multiple teams, technology platforms and external suppliers. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively across business and technology functions.
