Senior Marketplace Executive
Buy it direct Huddersfield, Yorkshire
Senior Marketplace Executive Buy It Direct Group Huddersfield Up to 40,000 Full time, permanent Ready to own the channels, not just support them? Buy It Direct Group runs a family of UK online retailers, including Appliances Direct, Laptops Direct, Furniture123, Better Bathrooms and Outdoor Living Hot Tubs. Marketplaces are a big part of how we reach customers. We trade on eBay, Amazon and B&Q today, and we want to be on more. We're bringing in Linnworks to run our B&Q channel and to make it quicker for us to launch on new platforms. That makes this the right time to bring in someone experienced who can grow what we have and help decide where we go next. You'll be the day-to-day owner of our marketplace channels. You'll work closely with our trading, operations and development teams and report to. What you'll do Run our eBay, Amazon and B&Q accounts day to day, and help us assess and launch new marketplaces. Own marketplace performance, meaning sales, margin and cost of sale by channel. Each week you'll report to the trading team on what's working and what needs fixing. Be our lead on Linnworks. Help get B&Q running smoothly through it, then use it to get new channels live quickly. Keep account health in good shape, covering dispatch times, late shipments, tracking, returns and seller standards. Fix problems before they turn into penalties. Set and manage marketplace pricing and promotions within agreed rules, including coupons, deals and sponsored ads. Judge them on profit, not just sales. Improve listing quality across the range with better titles, content, images and A+ content, and fix listings that are mismatched or suppressed. Work with category traders to decide which products go on which channel. Grow the range wherever the margin supports it. Keep track of changes to marketplace fees, policies and features, and explain what they mean for us. What we're looking for Proven hands-on experience running Amazon and eBay seller accounts. Experience with B&Q (Mirakl) or other marketplaces is a big plus. Experience with a multichannel platform such as Linnworks, ChannelAdvisor or similar. Linnworks experience will make you stand out. A commercial mindset. You understand fees, margin and cost of sale, and you know that not every sale makes a profit. Strong Excel skills. You're comfortable with large product and order datasets, pivot tables and lookups. A track record of managing account health and resolving issues with marketplace support teams. The confidence to work with traders, the warehouse, finance and developers, and to push for what the channel needs. You're organised, self-driven and you stick with a problem until it's solved. What we can offer Ownership of a channel mix that matters to the group's plans, with support to grow it. A real say in which new platforms we launch on next. A role that grows as the channels grow. Salary up to 40,000 Healthcare cash plan. Your birthday off after a year with us. Staff discount across all of our brands. Free on-site parking.

We'll broaden your horizons Our Sales and Marketing team is being reshaped to directly support BDO's growth ambitions. We're building a high-performing function that is proud of its technical skills, reliable in delivery, and outcome-led in how we prioritise and execute. You'll join a team big enough to offer diverse roles and opportunities, big priorities and commercial challenges, yet personal enough to ensure you're supported and empowered from day one. Here, we think beyond activity. You'll bring ideas, fresh thinking and help shape how we deliver campaigns, insights and engagement across the business. Working closely with internal clients, you'll deepen your understanding of our sectors and add value in your role. From strategic storytelling to capability building and smarter ways of working, you'll grow your skills while working with people who care about doing the right thing and doing it well. We'll help you succeed Leading organisations trust us because of the quality of our advice. That quality grows from a thorough understanding of their business, and that understanding comes from working closely with them and building long-lasting relationships. You'll be someone who is both comfortable working pro-actively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO's partners to help businesses effectively. You'll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with. It mobilises and coordinates Sales, Marketing and Operations capabilities to provide the right skills at the right time, and runs resourcing, scheduling and sequencing conversations to ensure delivery is achievable and aligned. The role is a key advocate for buyer-led, issue-based, solution-oriented approaches (not service-led thinking). It uses deep understanding of the local market, competitor landscape and strategy to guide prioritisation, shape briefs and ensure outputs are relevant, differentiated and commercially effective. Key responsibilities Lead development of the deployed GTM strategy and annual plan in partnership with business leadership and Sales & Marketing capability leaders. Contract priorities based on growth strategy, local market context and buyer needs, including clear measures and success criteria. Build trusted relationships with deployed leadership, including relevant C&M Directorates, and maintain a clear engagement rhythm. Run governance moments (planning checkpoints, prioritisation decisions, progress and performance reviews) with clear inputs/outputs and action tracking. Lettings Manager The salary package on offer is very impressive with a £30,000 basic salary plus an initial 6-month salary guarantee of £50,000 with then a 6-month review and if need be, the salary guarantee may be extended. Lettings Manager You will work for an established and market leading Estate Agency brand who presently concentrate on Residential Sales who are now looking to establish themselves in Residential Lettings. They have a small property portfolio at present of 20 managed properties which they are looking to expand on. There already exists a large database of multiple landlords who are both investors and developers and you will have a marketing budget. Property Management is currently outsourced so what a breath of fresh air this position holds for a Letting Agent who just wants to go after new business so you will actively be growing the business by driving Lettings listings to the market for let and then subsequently carrying out the viewings and then once the file is fully compliant and ready for the tenant to move in this will then be passed to Property Management. The role requires someone with a strong understanding of property legislation and compliance. Lettings Manager Would ideally suit someone already working as a Lettings Manager in a relatively small branch, or alternatively, a Senior Lettings Negotiator or Assistant Lettings Manager in a larger company who believes there are limited opportunities to progress their career further with their existing employer and has limited earning potential. This will be a one person Lettings operation to start with whilst you grow the business, and you will work within an environment that very much has a family feel to it and you will work in an office where there exists a team of 5 in Sales.
